Awareness as a Skill: The Performance Toolkit

Performing under pressure is a skill that must be practiced just as much as the bunker shot or the drive.

  • Grounding Techniques: When the pressure magnifies a lapse in focus, I teach simple breathing exercises to bring the player back to their body and the present moment.

  • Technology as Validation: I use advanced technology to validate that our intentions are sound, but it is never a replacement for a player’s feel or judgment on the course.

  • Revealing Capability: Ultimately, competition reveals what we all are capable of. There is a deep satisfaction that comes from knowing that when it mattered most, you gave the game everything you had.

I use ForcePlates, Trackman, V1 cameras, and Swing Catalyst as invaluable tools when I teach.
